I love mornings and my morning ritual; it’s probably my favorite part of the day. But my second favorite part of the day is the afternoon, which is usually the time I get out of the apartment and head to a local café (or Starbucks) to do a few hours of work. Lately I’ve been trying to get more use out of my heels, and even though they’re certainly dressier than most people dress in my locale, I enjoy that added bit of height and confidence boost heels give. Are you a heels girl?
Have a great weekend!

I’d be completely content to swap out all of my skirts for maxi skirts. They’re versatile and comfortable, and they work with a variety of heel heights. I found this gem at Forever 21 (duh) for $13. The tribal print spoke to me, as did the black and white because I know just how much I have in my wardrobe that will go with this skirt. I opted for something a bit brighter for my first go-round with it but kept the tribal vibes with my necklace and raffia clutch.

Windy days get me. Sometimes windy-day photos look great, and other times my eyes are squinty and water and my outfit is going crazy. This day was one of those unmanageable windy days. Luckily, my accessories decided to cooperate in their photos. Orange is quickly becoming a prominent color in my wardrobe; it’s one of those wildcards you think will only last for a season, but it ends up becoming a staple. And when it’s paired with navy, I’m especially OK with orange making its home in my wardrobe.

Oh, to look back on these pictures and see warmer days. Right now, it’s gray and cold and rainy, and bare legs would not be an option. But back when it was sunny and the perfect spring day, all I wanted to do was wear a printed dress and a bright red jacket. Such a shame I didn’t get a picture of it, but this dress has the cutest asymmetrical neckline. However, I know this dress will probably make many appearances this summer sans layers.
By the way, isn’t my new logo great? My friend Madelyn made it; check out her amazing portfolio!

We had a surprise snowstorm this past weekend that kept my roommate and I indoors all Sunday; it was the opportune time to try out our fireplace and read all day, so I won’t complain too much. What I will complain about is this sweater weather when all I want to wear are colorful spring dresses, skirts, and ankle-length trousers. Since I’m boycotting tights until next fall, pants jeans it is. You may force me to wear jeans, Mother Nature, but you can’t take away my color.
