My favorite recurring fall trend is always menswear, and this particular outfit is the culmination of the best. From the oxford to the brogues, the boyfriend watch to the fedora, this is menswear in a wearable, chic way. The only thing missing? A tweed or plaid blazer (which I would have worn, had it not been a little too warm for that).
Can I just say I’m amazed at the versatility of this Mini Pashli Target bag? The mustard yellow just seems to add the right amount of color to every outfit I’ve worn it with — and I know it’ll get even more use once we get further into fall.

If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know I’m a huge fan of mixing prints. One of my favorite combos is stripes and leopard, but come to think of it, most of my combos involve some sort of stripe. Today’s outfit is no exception, with the bold stripes in my blouse playing off the very subtle pinstripes in my blazer. Neutral gray and silver accessories, and I’m off to the work races!
What are your go-to prints for mixing?

After a stellar Goodwill trip last week, including finding the Michael Kors I’m wearing in today’s post, I’ve had Goodwill on the mind. My roommate and I may or may not have made two trips to two different Goodwills at two different points in the day yesterday. We’re addicted.
I love that these seemingly simple pieces come together to make one of my favorite outfits to date. You can’t go wrong with creamy lace, chambray and straw.

I went on a hair-accessories-buying spree at the beginning of summer as a means to encourage myself to put my hair up more often. If there’s one thing I dread every morning, it’s doing my hair. But as my hair continues to grow out, I’m trying to get better at doing different things with it, and once the cooler weather hits and the humidity leaves, I’ll be able to straighten it once again and try out some different styles. For now, though, I’ll stick to putting it up with bobby pins, wearing a geometric turban and wearing classic, summery colors.
We had a cool snap last weekend, and I wanted to take advantage of the dip in temperatures to take a break from short sleeves. I wore this to the festival we went to, and the combination of long sleeves and shorts was ideal for spending Friday evening on a hillside with good food and drinks.
Who’s ready for the weekend? I am! I am!
