Forever 21 is my sweet spot for jewelry. I can go in to any given Forever 21 and come out with some amazing accessories. The great part is that they’re inexpensive, but if you treat them right, they can last a long time.
This skirt is one of those I couldn’t exactly justify purchasing (even though I got it at Goodwill) because it just didn’t seem to be something I’d want to wear. The jury’s still out on the skirt, but I will admit I love the slightly more casual feel the denim of the blouse brings to the silk of the skirt.

This past Monday, I woke up and thought, How is it Monday already? The past few weeks and weekends have just flown by. However, this week seemed especially long and slightly stressful, so I’m ready for the weekend. We’re forecasted to have some beautiful weather, and as much as I love this slightly edgy outfit with a pop of color, I am ready to wear shorts, skirts and dresses galore!

It feels like spring has finally come for good here in Omaha, and although these pics were taken when it was still quite chilly outside, I can easily see wearing this now in the warmer weather with boyfriend jeans and flats. Layers are key during these transitional months between winter and summer, and I wanted to go with something softer — hence the white jacket, brown sweater and chambray blouse.

This faux fur stole was one of the best purchases I’ve made, especially for $7. I’m always amazed at how it manages to transform something ordinary (like this cargo jacket I wear every week, it seems) into something a slightly more special.
I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some sunnier days!

Last week was crazily cold and windy — all week, it seemed. So I apologize for the chaos happening in these photos. But you can get the gist of the idea of this outfit (even if the photos aren’t perfect). I love the addition of my blazer (see how I’ve worn it this month here, here and here), but I think that without my blazer and with ankle booties or even wedges that this outfit would be perfection come spring!
