Bows and mistletoe

Although this Christmas is certainly going to be different this year because of the move we’re about to make, I’m going to try to make the most of it. Dressing festively, of course, will get anyone’s spirits up. I’ve been saving this dress for a few months to wear during the Christmas season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it makes another appearance around New Year’s.

Power in the details

Neutrals are absolute staples in my wardrobe, particularly my fall and winter one. Maybe it’s the rain that eventually turns to snow, or maybe it’s just the need to be inside except to pop outside for a quick coffee. But whatever it is, neutrals will probably forever be the dominant force within my wardrobe.
I recently found this jacket at Goodwill, and it was such an unusual color for an anorak/army jacket that I wanted to try my hand at wearing it. The details are what make the outfit for me: from the orange in the jacket playing off the gold sequins to my near-camouflaged glasses necklace.
Stars and stripes
I don’t know about you guys, but red, white and navy is a classic combination that I can’t help but want to pair throughout the summer, even when Independence Day is over. Take inspiration from this stars and stripes collage (with a little nautical thrown in there, too).

Weekend craving
As graduation is approaching (two weeks!), I can’t help but begin to think about what I’m going to wear under my graduation robe. It needs to be fun but cool enough to wear in what will probably be a packed and hot gymnasium. I thought these two gems would be perfect.
